Introduction
In math class, my peers and I started learning about Quadratics about two months ago, starting slow trying to find variables and learning about terms. It was a long process with many worksheets! Such as Finding 'a' for A quadric equation or converting from standard form(ax^2+bx+c) to vertex form (y=a(x-h)^2 + k), finding x-intercepts, expanding and simplifying an expression with linear factors and deriving a quadratic equation in vertex form. Now we started a project about a week ago, (May 31, 2018) to put a quadratic question and how to solved it onto a postcard. I'm not too confident about this topic but I tried my best with this postcard. I asked the question "What is the Quadratic Equation of this Orange?" I grow multiple fruits and vegetables at home and wanted to find quadratic equations among nature.
Reflection
I felt this tiny project went well, it was quick and easy! I enjoyed being able to choose the question and use anything you wanted. I just felt the timing was a bit off for this project since it's so close to the end of the school year, it didn't feel needed. It blocked important work time on other bigger projects and TPOL time. If this project took place in a less stressful time, I defiantly would have done another plant example but the timing was off.
